What I use to make sample loops

Since I've been dropping more packs lately, I figured why not let you in on what type of VST's, plug ins, hardware I'm using.

First off, remember that you can have all of the most expensive keyboards and best gear in the world, but if you don't have the EARS and creativity to make good melodies, there's no point.

Your melodies are only as good as your taste level and what you compose.

That being said here's a list of some of my most important secret weapons when making melodies (This is NOT a paid sponsorship by any company I mention here. This is an actual list of what I use and what I love!)

WHAT I USE:

1. RC-20 - I know this one is super obvious, but it's still a #1 champion in terms of adding texture and that vintage feel we all love.

2. ELIXER PREPARED TAPE - This is an insanely slept on Kontakt instrument that lets you import 4 different one shots to create a synth patch. I kept this quiet for 10 years. I don't even know if you can still get it, but look it up and if you can get it, congrats! I've seen ZERO people use this.

3. YAMAHA DX7 - I have the actual keyboard with expansion card, but if you can't afford it, I'm pretty sure they have a VST version. It's got keyboard patches that you just can't get in any other VST.

4. HIDEAWAY POLIVOX - I use this to make weird synthy stuff. Such an innovative sounding synth.

5. WONKY TAPE POLYMOOG - Another insane sounding synth that just has so much sauce it should be illegal.

This is just a partial list and I can go on and on, but these are what I mostly used on my new surprise pack drop "PULSE" (which will be gone forever in about 5 hours of this blog post!) CLICK HERE to go get it asap.

I used these same synths on Kendrick Lamar "GOD", Drake "You & The 6" and so many more.

I hope this list helps you level up today.

Let me know if you check any out and what you think!
